Respawnables

Respawnables is a free to play IOS game. It is a third person shooter with death matches. The aim of each match is to kill as many other players as you can and collect as many tokens as you can to get the most points. You get cash and XP after completing a round. XP goes towards your level and cash is for buying items in the store. You can buy different guns, Clothing armour and heaps more. There are certain items that you will not be able to purchase if you are on a low level. When you level up you unlock more things. You can play online with your Gamecentre friends or any players. In online mode there is team death match mode where you have a team and you have to kill the players on the other team to get your team to win and there is free for all mode where you can kill anyone like single player. Even though the game is free to play there are things in the game that can be purchased for real money. A great thing about this game is the computer players in single player act exactly like real players. Also there is quite a few maps to choose from and they are each a good size. This game is a great shooter that is appropriate for younger gamers. I give it 7/10

Minecraft Is Coming To Sony Platforms

After four long years Minecraft is finally coming to Sony platforms the PS4 PS3 and PSvita. It may not come out on the day that the PS4 is released and nothing else has been said.

Trial Xtreme 3

Trials Xtreme 3 is a game for Ios and Android. You control a dirt bike and have to tilt your device to lean, press buttons to accelerate, break and jump. There are obstacles from simple ramps to massive drops and upside down turns. It is a good game for people who like a simple interactive game. You can buy dirt bikes, customise the pattern on your bike and buy new outfits for your rider. It is free to play but each place only comes with a few levels so you have to pay 99c to get one whole place which is about ten levels. To get all the levels it costs around $5. I think it is worth half that price. Apart from that, this game is enjoyable. I give it 7.5/10

Video Game Central News Week 5

This week on Video Game Central News we take a look at a game from the makers of Assassins Creed, Watch Dogs. Also we look at Minecraft coming to the Xbox One and Plants Vs Zombies 2.

Ubisoft will be launching their new game, Watch dogs on the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC. It is hard to believe the makers of an adventure game like Assassins Creed would make a game like Grand Theft Auto. When you play on your own, random real players will join your game without you knowing. You are in control of the city and you can control traffic lights, cause black outs and much more. You play as a thief called Aiden Pearce. It should come out on the same day as the PS4 or Xbox One.

Minecraft was first released on PC and has now sold well over over 11,422,380 copies just on PC and Mac. Then it got released on Ios, Android and even Xbox. Now there is a new version of Minecraft just for the Xbox One. It will include more features like bigger worlds and better looking worlds. Minecraft will be bigger and better than ever before. Now we just have to wait for the Xbox One. Minecraft hasn't been released on Playstation yet. It could be because of the fee, we don't know. That is this weeks poll.

Plants Vs Zombies was a very well know strategy game that won many awards. You control an army of plants and have to defend your house from Zombies. Now Plants Vs Zombies 2 has been released. They have changed a few things like the looks of plants, the level selection and of course given us a whole new story and a whole new bunch of levels. Crazy Dave is back which is a relief. It has been released on Ios and will later be released on PC and consoles.

Borderlands 2

The original Borderlands was popular and sold many copies. Now Axton, Zero, Maya and a new character Salvador have come to Pandora to stop Handsome Jack and his Army. The game is a combination of a shooter and RPG and the developers have made those categories work well together. At the start you wake up in the snow and a robot called Claptrap finds you. Clap Traps real name is Cl4p_tp general purpose robot. He finds you and takes you to his house. Clap Trap calls you his Minion. He gives you a gun and then you are off with him. This game uses Cartoon like but real graphics and that style of graphics has never been used in a game before, that was a big risk that Gearbox took. But it was a risk worth taking and that is one of the main features of the game. The rpg side is great and it had definitely improved from the original Borderlands. The shooting is satisfying especially with rocket launches. This game randomly generates guns meaning there are millions of guns but sadly you can't hold anywhere near that many at once. You can store things in safes and upgrade the amount of things you can carry. You can customise your character and purchase skills. Certain skills are only for certain characters. Salvador’s unique skill, is for a short time he can hold two weapons at once, Maya's is she can heal players in split screen and multiplayer, Axton's is he can drop a turret for a limited time and it will kill enemies and Zero's is he can do extremely critical damage. You need skill points to get certain skills. There is a lot of gore and swearing but you can turn  it off. A key feature of this game is split screen and online play. You can play with up to four different people on your own campaign. Pandora will spawn more and more enemies due to the number of players that are playing. Brick, a player character from the first game is no longer available for you to play as in the sequel. That is a bit of a letdown. There is a badass rank and when you level up you have access to new items. At the start of the game it seems bad because you have bad weapons and gear. If you have the first Borderlands you are able to transfer some guns and skills over which gives you an advantage. This game has a lot of game play time with up to twenty to thirty hours of story missions and if you add the rest of the missions it is around fifty hours of game play. You are able to drive vehicles and there are four seater vehicles. One for the driver, one for the gunner and two back seats. There is not a big selection of vehicles to choose from. The bosses aren’t too hard or too easy. There are grenades, grenade mods, invisible shields and much more. Sometimes you won't be able to find places but it eventually works out. This game is great. I give it 9/10. This game receives a best game of the year award.

Minecraft

Minecraft is a game that lets you use your imagination to create almost anything. You can build things, mine for minerals like diamond, play with animals, fight mobs and much more. There are two modes creative and survival. In creative mode you have unlimited resources and you can fly, spawn animals and more. In survival mode there is a day and night cycle and you will need to gather resources to survive. At night, mobs come out and you can shelter in your house or fight them and collect their loot. You have the option to make servers and let many people play on them or have private ones where just you and your friends can play. Minecraft is most fun with a friend because you can work together or just have death matches. The worlds are made of 3D blocks and pretty much everything is a block. You can craft items such as weapons, food, potions and special blocks on survival mode. You need a crafting table and multiple resources to combine to craft. You can build almost anything in this game. I give it 9.5/10. This game receives a best game of the year award.

Video Game Central News Week 4

This week we take a look at The Last Of Us and we also look at Medal Of Honours history and the next gen consoles.

Naughty dog have recently released their new game The Last Of Us. You might have seen trailers on this game and you can tell the developers have tried to make it as real as they can. They have tried to make the game slightly like Uncharted. It is set in the close future and there is an infection called Cordiseps Virus. Anyone it infects turns into a zombie. Pretty much everyone is either infected or dead. You play as Joel and have a girl called Nellie to help you. You are 2 of the few survivors. Naughty dog are master story tellers and in this game it really shows. From characters talking while you are moving and epic cut scenes. This is a must get game.

The first game from the Medal Of Honour series came out in 1999. Since then there have been thirteen games up to the latest one Medal Of Honour Warfighter. The games are Medal Of Honour original, Underground, Allied Assault, Frontline, Rising Sun, Infiltrator, Pacific Assault, European Assault, Heros, Vanguard, Airborne, Heros 2, Medal Of Honour (2010), Warfighter. The big question is have the series been a waste.

A few weeks ago we brought you a story about the next gen consoles. Here is an extension to that story. The official price for both the PS4 and the Xbox One have been announced. The price for the PS4 is $549 and the Xbox One is $599. They will be released some time at the end of 2013.

Plants Vs Zombies

Plants vs zombies is a stratergy game for ios, PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Mac. Armies of zombies that want your juicy brains attack your house and you have to stop them with, of course, an army of plants. In the game at daytime suns fall from the sky and they also come from sunflowers. Suns allow you to make more and more plants. If you don't use stratergy and plan your attacks the zombies will reach your brains and you will lose. Placing wallnuts and sunflowers everywhere won't work against any zombie because they don't shoot. Placing a few pea shooters with one or two disco zombies coming won't work either. You won't win if your stratergies aren't well thought out. There are different levels like the backyard and the rooftop which is nice. There are minigames, achievments and challenges as well as the campaign. I noticed the controls on the ios device are easier than the PS3 Xbox 360,  PC and Mac. This game is good for young gamers and I give it 7/10.

Uncharted 3 Drake's Deception

Even though it was a while ago I still remeber playing and reviewing Uncharted 2 because it was a 10/10 game. The good news is Uncharted 3 is even better. The campaign is great and Drake is on a journey to find Francis Drake's lost treasure. There is a few puzzles that are really hard to solve. The shooting is great and now you can hit enemies with items. The best bit is near the end of the game you get to jump out of a plane. The story is great like every Uncharted game. There is still a limited amount of guns but there is many different ones but that dosen't really affect the game. The cut scenes can go on forever but they are the best cut scenes I have ever seen. You now get to ride horses. I didn't get to use the multiplayer and Co op mode because I was one controller down and didn't have an internet connection. The multiplayer modes are every man for themselves deathmatch where you have to try to kill as many players as possible and try not to get killed. The other mode is Team deathmatch where you are on a team and have to try and kill as many players from the other team as possible. I was able to view the multiplayer maps and there a quite a few and they are big. The graphics aren't top notch but the're good. This game is amazing 10/10. This game recieves a best game of the year award.

Why Uncharted 4 Will Need PS4?

Uncharted 4 Will need the PS4 due to graphics, cut scenes and game play. The PS3's hardware will not be strong enough to display cutting edge graphics, cut scenes and game play. If gamers want that in a game they will need the PS4.

Uncharted 4 should have the best graphics we've seen in a game. The PS4 will allow it to have outstanding graphics.

Naughty Dog will be improving on Game play. They should make those running section more intense and the variety of weapons.

Uncharted 4 should be great we just have to wait and see.

Video Game Central News Week 3

This week on Video Game Central News we look at the soon to be released game Lego Marvel Super Hero’s and we look at consoles vs ios devices.



When Lego Batman 2 was released with a variety of superheros we knew a big Lego superhero game was coming and now Lego Marvel Superheros is soon to be released. Most Lego games have been successful but will Lego Marvel Super Hero’s sell well and live up to its expectations. This game is a mix of many Superheros in one game. It is not known if the game has multiplayer but it should be great even if it doesn’t have it. You can preorder it now at EB Games.

It is said that now days ios devices have console quality graphics but is this true. People have been saying my Iphone 5 is better than my PS3. It is true that ios devices have good graphics but better than consoles. The controls on ios devices are annoying at times like when you need to tilt the screen or press tiny on screen buttons. Consoles are thick and have powerful hardware. ios devices are small, thin and have laggy hardware. What do you thinks is better ios devices or consoles.

 This week on Videogame Central News we look at rumours about Uncharted 4, Call Of Duty Ghost, Battlefield 4 and the Xbox One

There have been rumours about Naughty Dog making Uncharted 4. With the selling of Uncharted 3 and the Last Of Us, it seems like they would be making an Uncharted 4. The title will be something like Uncharted 4 Atlantis. Naughty dog have not yet said anything about Uncharted 4 or announced anything yet. With the next gen consoles heading our way this will be one of the best uncharted games yet.

It has been announced that Call Of Duty Ghost is real and the release date. The official trailer is already out. Call Of Duty Ghost is a fresh new start for the Call Of Duty franchise. There will be  new characters, new weapons and new maps. It will be released on the PC, PS3, XBOX360, PS4 and XBOX ONE. The release date is November 15th 2013. You can pre order it now.


Dice have announced they are making Battlefield 4. Battlefield 3 was great but now Battlefield 4 is coming our way. With insane graphics and mad explosions this game will be a killer. PC players will be able to enjoy 64 player multiplayer and graphics as sharp as their hardware goes. The PS3 and XBOX360 version will be limited to 24 players due to hardware. DICE said it will be possible to have 60 players if they cut down the graphics and explosions. The next gen consoles like the PS4 and XBOX ONE will have no problem keeping up with the PC though. The release date has not yet been announced but the trailer is already out.

Microsoft has announced the new XBOX. It is called the XBOX ONE. It is a game console and an entertainment team in one. It is ten times more powerful than the XBOX360. It will require internet connection at least once ever 24 hours. No release date was announced.

Uncharted 2 Among Theives

Uncharted was known for being an amazing adventure game and now we have Uncharted 2. The main Character is Drake and he sets out on an adventure to find Marco Polo's Lost Fleet. At the start of the game you are with your friend Flint. Well he's your friend for now. You rob a museum taking down guards, dodging lasers and walking in sewers. When you have found the artefact and the clue to the next step, he climbs out with a rope, leaves you in there,  shoots a glass cabinet to set of the alarms and you are trapped. You have to escape and Flint becomes one of your arch enemies. There is a small section before this that involves a train with you inside falling off a cliff. This game has one of the best campaigns I've ever seen in a game. The environments are amazing and I loved the scene when you were in a collapsing building. Drake’s friends such as Rose and Sully help him out and many more. The cut scenes are very long but they are great. The game play is fantastic as well.  There are only 10-15 weapons in the game. It does get overwhelming at times with the number of enemies attacking you. That only happens a few times in the game though. I ended up jumping off cliffs for fun to see what would happened. I didn't get to play the multiplayer mode but just the campaign is good enough to give this game an extremely high score. After all this game is really amazing and full of action. I recommend it to anyone I give it 10-10.

Xbox One

Microsoft have made an announcement about the new Xbox. People thought it would be called the Xbox 720 but it is called the Xbox one. One of the first games that will be coming out on the Xbox One are Call Of Duty ghosts, Destiny, Quantum Break, Watch Dogs, Assassin's Creed Black Flag, Thief and Forza Motersport 5. The console will be a whopping ten times more powerful than the Xbox 360. The console is very thick and silent. It will feature a new version of the connect, voice control and hand control. You will be able to have multiple windows and from watching a TV program you can change to playing a game with a swipe of a hand. The controller will keep many things from the Xbox 360 controller and will change many things. The new Xbox will surprisingly be using blu ray discs. Sony invented Blu ray and that is why they use it on the Playstation. Microsoft made HD and  stuck with it for the Xbox 360 and the Original Xbox. The change means Microsoft will have to pay Sony to use Blu ray. If Microsoft stuck with HD they could use it for free. Microsoft have not yet  announced the price or release date.

Dead Trigger 2

Mad finger’s Dead trigger was a hell of a ripper game. It received a best game of 2012 award from the app store and is one of the best FPS zombie games for tablets out there. It reached more than 14 million downloads. Now Mad finger is making Dead Trigger 2. They have promised us Stunning new graphics, new weapons, better game play and more. If that is what the game has it will be sure to receive another best game of the year award and will blow us away. It will be released by the end of 2013. We will review it when it comes out. Here is a short link to a video of Dead Trigger 2 game play.

Pixle People

 Pixel People is a free to play IOS game. It is a city builder where you can create a city and place roads, residential buildings, plants and more. It isn't complicated because there are no taxes and things like natural disasters to worry about. It's a pretty good game and is a perfect distraction when you’re bored.  You have to employ residents and build universities, petrol stations and more to keep residents employed. It's also important you keep an eye on your money bar but if you run out of money you don't have to restart the game because buildings are continuously giving you money. This game is not a bad game I give it 8/10.

Call Of Duty Ghost

It has been announced that Call Of Duty Ghost will be coming out and the release date has also been announced. The same game creating engine has been used for the Call Of Duty Games and now they are using an entirely new one. There will be an entirely new story, setting and characters. There may still be Zombies mode. It will come out on the PS3, XBOX 360, PC and next gen platforms like the PS4 and XBOX 720. The release date is November 5th 2013. Infamous 2

Infamous 2 is a game that will blow you away from the moment you turn your console on. The main character is Cole. He has electrical powers and he uses them to fight cops and cause destruction to the city or fight government soldiers and help cops. It's your choice. At the start you are introduced to his friends. There is a beast that Cole fights at the start of the game and he gets back to it at the end. In his first mission he receives a weapon called the AMP that his friend made for him. The first two missions are some of the best because they include lots of explosive action. Almost every mission is great though. The game is set in an open world and has a lot to explore. The game play is very impressive and the graphics got me on the edge of my seat. This game has outstanding graphics especially in the cut scenes. My favourite weapon would have to be the AMP. I love smashing enemies and watching them go flying off buildings. Another thing, you can climb buildings in this game. I ended up climbing up a massive tower and flying off the top. Another great thing about this game is you can fly. As enemy trucks went by, I jumped off buildings flying and landing on the trucks. You can buy powers and upgrade them to enhance your abilities. Later in the game one of your friend's wolves gets killed and another one gets captured. I loved exploring the city bashing up cops and shooting down helicopters. Those boss battles get so intense especially that one was your fighting Titan. The music in the game was great as well. It made a big difference in the game. This game is exceptional, it's one of the best games I’ve ever played I give this game 9.5/10
This game receives one of the best game of the year awards.

Video Game Central News Week 1

This news is put on the blog every one to two Sundays.




This is the Video Game Central News. This week we will talk about Bioshock Infinite, Tomb Raider and some other things. Firstly, Bioshock Infinite has been realeased. It's a first person shooter and it's set on a land above the clouds. This game has stunning graphics and is not a time waster. It's amazing.

Next, Tomb Raider was released a while ago and now nealy every game shop has it. In this game your ship is wrecked, you're on an island and you've been seperated from your crew. You have to battle it out to stay alive. This Tomb Raider game is very different from the other Tomb Raider games. You can upgrade your weapons and the upgrades on your weapons even appear in the cut scenes.

Sony have announced that they are making a PS4. This console will be the one that blows everyone away. One thing annoyong is that PS3 games will not be compatable with the PS4. It might include 3D but not much other information is known about it. It will come out some time around the end of this year.

Now that Tomb Raider is realeased, Naughty Dog, the company that made Uncharted and Crystal Dynamics the company that made Tomb Raider are trying to make games better than each other. Naughty dog have now realeased The Last Of Us which is becoming very popular. The big question is when will this fight end?

MX vs ATV untamed

MX vs ATV Untamed is a good, challenging racing game. An MX

 is a dirt bike and an ATV is a cord bike. This game allows you to pull off some of the most amazing stunts using an ATV or an MX. There are a wide range of different types of tracks to choose to race on. In the store you can buy sponsors, stickers, helmets, vests and pants. You can also buy different vehicles such as a monster trucks, sand rails and a golf cart. In the garage you can name your vehicles and put the gear that you bought at the store on your racer. To buy things you will have to get store points by doing tricks. You can also buy patterns for your vehicle at the store and you can put the patterns on the vehicle in the garage. You can choose your racing number and choose a colour for your vehicle. You can race in x cross mode, which is a huge competition to see who can get the most points to win an awesome trophy. In championship mode you can choose a difficulty and a vehicle to try and get the most points and you win trophies coloured bronze, silver and gold. In free race mode you can race and try to get store points buy doing tricks. There is also multi player mode. It works and runs smoothly and is heaps of fun playing with at least four people. The graphics on the PS3 are great. The races are intense and you’re constantly trying to stay at the front of the pack. What I found was I kept doing tricks in races and ended up coming last because in most race tracks the ramps are pretty small. I recommend saving the tricks for the stadiums and jump tracks. After all this is game is preety good. I give it 7.5/10.

Call of duty 4 modern warfare

This game Is old but great. The story in this game is that you're a solder in a massive war and you have to get out there and win or you're dead meat. The single player isn't bad there a tons of exciting missions and they're a decent length.  I just wish they put more missions in the campaign. A longer campaign would of been great.The multiplayer is quite impressive and there are a few modes. In free for all mode, you have to try to kill the other players. In this mode I kept accidentally committing suicide. There is a mode where you have to find the computers and hack them. The first player to hack all the computers wins. The multiplayer maps are pretty small and that can get very annoying. The graphics arent bad as well. There is just heaps of action in this game. One moment you're walking down a hill and the next thing you know there are 5 troops with assault rifles after you. I just loved it while I was in a tank shooting everyone in my way and getting away from those snipers.This is one of those games that you cant make any better. This is seriously a great game so I give it 9/10.

Need For Speed Most Wanted

Need For Speed Most Wanted is a racing game full of action and it has better graphics than Grand Turismo 5. You are a street racer and your job is to take down the five most wanted racers. You get to drive around the city and there are cops, racers, cars to unlock and plenty more. This game also has the fastest car in the world included, the Bugati Veryon. This game is heaps of fun. I loved running away from Cops, driving up ramps and soaring through the air at high speeds. This game really is a whole lot of action and fun all in one. The cars can get to amazingly high speeds. There are only very few and very short in length cut scenes. But that was fine for the game because after all it is a racing game. I liked how there is a button to change the songs and there is a wide range of songs and lots of great ones to choose from. The game is very enjoyable and suitable for all ages. Anyone can have fun with this. I give it 9/10This game receives a best game of the year award.

 

XBOX 720

There are rumours about a soon to come XBOX 720. It will have a whole new shape and different controller. A possibility is that Microsoft won't make game discs for it and you will have to download games from XBOX LIVE and it costs to sign up.Not much is known about this new console but if it is real it will come out around the end of 2013.

PS4

The Playstation 4 is soon to come. It will have a new controller featuring a speaker video upload button and a bar showing in game status such as health. You wil be able to share your videos and upload them to Youtube. This new console will have jaw dropping graphics and is something you must get. The release date is sometime at the end of this year 2013. It will not requie internet connectin. The Playstation 4 will not be backwards compatable with PS3 games. If you have a 3D tv you will be able to play most games in 3D. The Release price is aprox $900 for the console and $118 for each game.

Avatar The Game

If you have seen the movie Avatar, you will know that it's a great movie and you will have an idea about the game. The story of the game is different to the movie but that doesn't make the game bad. As you explore the beautiful but deadly world of Pandora, there are missions and heaps of vehicles and weapons to get  along the way. There is also a variety of armour to unlock. The game does start to get a bit boring when you have to keep going and coming back to places. It is amazing flying helicopters, shooting caves and watching them explode, jumping of cliffs, shooting viperwolves and the blue aliens. It's also amazing adventuring in robot suits, driving buggies, hovercraft and much more.One thing the game doesn't get right is the aiming especially with the bow and arrow, it just doesn't feel right. But the boss battles can get very annoying. I give it 7.5/10.

Subway Surfers

This is a simple fun game for ios that all ages can enjoy.You simply flick your finger up to jump, swipe down to duck and swipe to the sides to turn. You have to dodge trains and there are power ups and you collect coins. There are a range of characters to unlock and your scores get uploaded to the internet for everyone to see. This is a great and addictive game. New updates come out oftenly giving you another train line? new characters and more. It is free also. I give it 7.5/10.

Toca Race Driver 3

Toca Race Driver 3 is a great and one of the most realistic racing car games. There are three modes. Pro career mode/ world tour mode and simulations mode. In world tour mode your manager is Rick and he will be in most of the cut scenes. You will get to drive lots of real racing cars. The championships you complete in world tour mode you can have another shot of them for fun in simulations mode. In pro career mode choose a path such as open wheel/ GT/ touring cars/off road and classics and work your way to the final championship in each path. When you complete one championship in pro career mode you will unlock the following championship and a new one in simulations mode. In simulations mode you can do multiplayer and try and break the lap record or have a free race. In this game you can get upgrades and have so much fun. You can play 12 player online. I give this game a 7.5/10.
